Spiorad Cill Rìmhinn

Tha mi ’nist a-measg nan gaisgeach,
A’ fuireach ’s a’ pharraist mhór,
Far am bi na nigh’nean bòidheach,
Agus laoich dhìleas còir.

SÉISD: ’S ioma’ latha anns a’ mhaduinn,
’S ioma’ latha aig bial-na-h-oidhch’,
’S ioma’ latha tha mi faicinn,
Spiorad Cill Rìmhinn beò a-chaoidh.

Bho’n Allt Mhór ’s bho Phàirc an Fhuarain,
Bho Dhail Moire ’s bho’n Bhràigh’ Àrd,
Bho Bhun na h-Aibhne ’s bho’n Mhanachain,
Tha spiorad Dhé a’ fàs.

Bho Ghleann Ruaidh ’s a’ Mhaise Uaine,
Measg nan Dùiteach is nan Gàidheal,
Bho’n Chroit is Bhràigh na h-Aibhne,
Tha na daoine seo tlàth.

An Cill Rìmhinn tha sinn sunndach
Agus ’nar n-eaglais tha sinn réidh,
Le ’r Tighearn’ ’gar stiùireadh ’s ’gar cumail,
Tha sinn làidir is le chéil’.

Thigibh uile gu Cill Rìmhinn,
Bho àit’ sam bith air an t-saoghal,
Gheobh sibh fàilte càirdeil, crìdheil.
Chan fhàg sibh tìr mo ghaoil.

Spirit of St. Andrews

I am now among the warriors,
Living in the great parish,
Where are found the beautiful maidens,
And heroes, faithful and true.

CHORUS: Many’s a day in the morning,
Many’s a day at the time of dusk,
Many’s a day I am seeing,
The spirit of St. Andrews alive forever.

From Dunmore and from Springfield,
From Marydale and from Loch Katrine,
From Lower South River and from Beauly,
The spirit of God is growing.

From Glenroy and Meadow Green,
Among the Dutch and the Gael,
From Croft and Upper South River,
The people here are gentle.

In St. Andrews we are joyous,
And in our church we are united,
With our Lord steering and supporting us,
We are strong and together.

Come all to St. Andrews,
From any place in the world,
You will get a welcome, friendly and hearty.
You’ll not leave the land of my love.
